The two-year warranty is only valid when the Lumina Audio unit is wired in by a professional installer.
WHO CAN INSTALL MY LUMINA AUDIO UNIT?
We can install your Lumina Audio head unit if you can travel to our Christchurch workshop. Loan cars are available and as with anything please book well in advance to secure a day which suits you.
Installation of any Lumina Audio head unit should not be attempted by persons without general automotive electrical knowledge and broad knowledge of modern car audio head units featuring the latest technology.
Installation of Lumina Audio head units may require experience with:
Android operating systems
Wiring of Can-modules
Configuring reverse triggers
Enabling steering wheel control
Diagnostic of electronic circuits
Lumina Audio multimedia units are like small computers and feature the latest technology, and in many cases are plug and play. If you are experiencing issues we are happy to offer some installation advice over the phone. Unfortunately, this will be limited to a basic discussion and we may ask you to seek the advice of an experienced professional car audio installer at your own cost.
COST OF INSTALLATION?
Please call us as the price depends on installation time. As every vehicle is different, an estimate is given on the cost to install any audio device or camera. Our friendly installers are experts and offer a quick fuss-free service.
Please note, attempting to install a modern multimedia unit yourself without the right knowledge may damage the head unit or your car and will void your warranty.
INSTALLERS IN YOUR AREA
If you are out of town we can provide you with the details of a qualified audio installer. Please ask them for an estimate.
CAN I INSTALL A LUMINA AUDIO HEAD UNIT MYSELF?
Installation of a Lumina Audio car audio unit by a non-professional car audio installer will void the warranty.
We have a limited number of loan cars available, book early to secure
Installation service is available Tuesday – Friday; generally not Monday
VEHICLE PRESENTATION
We ask that all vehicles, especially four-wheeled drive, and work vehicles are reasonably clean inside and out. Your boot should also be reasonably clear of personal items and equipment so that our installers can access the car’s wiring.
Time taken to clear space may increase the labour costs on your invoice
