We start 2023 with some new products. Enjoy your Mozat, Madness or Metallica, maps and more with wireless Apple CarPlay/wireless Android Auto. How does this all work? Simply put, your smartphone’s interface appears on the stereo screen, contacts saved on your phone are quickly accessed, and a Virtual Assistant listens to your commands. The driver has access to driver-safe apps which can be controlled without letting go of the steering wheel. No more turning knobs and pushing buttons, just tell Siri or Google Assistant what you want, or use existing steering wheel controls. “Hey Siri, call Mum”. Happy drivers access easy-to-use maps which never need manually updating and get to the destination without fuss.  For a small amount of data you can see traffic congestion, arrival time and find local businesses. Fans of the iPhone also have access to Apple Maps. 

After initially pairing your phone* to one of our many Lumina Audio units with wireless Apple CarPlay/wireless Android Auto, your iPhone or Samsun Galaxy will link automatically every time you get in the car to drive. No more finding a cable to plug in your phone and no more cable dangling about your centre console.

Unfortunately the aftermarket car audio brands available in NZ vary in quality but Lumina Audio runs reliable Linux operating systems, Bluetooth 4.0 minimum, and are shipped to hundreds of major car dealers every week. 

Many models of Mitsubishi will take the BTN 705. The touchscreen looks sleek and the unit can be operated using voice-activation and either Siri or Google Assistant.

We have introduced the BTN 595 for later model Toyotas which have an Extra Wide aperture of 203 mm x 130 mm.

If you drive a Nissan the BTN 625 is a Lumina Audio unit to suit Nissans with a 200 mm x 100 mm gap.

We can also offer drivers of Toyotas (2021+) the BTN 325. It comes with a fantastic 10 inch screen but fits a DDin gap in the dash. We install these units with a fitting kit and some makes of Toyota may need a dditional wiring.
